Homegirl Inc.

It's official. Homegirl has an office and it's own telephone number (330-650-2135) and is ready for business. I even have recepionists -that would be Lila and Edie, who call each other from our home phone and answer "Homegirl Inc, How may I help you?". Here is a picture of the cozy part of my office. If I showed you the "work" side, you may be concerned! The lamp shade made it into my home from the barn and is the "hat" for a great lamp I bought at Target. The prayer men on the table, I picked up at a yard sale of a friend of a good friend, who allowed me private access. I had bought them to sell, but have fallen in love with them and don't think I can part ways just yet.

Oh the places to go...the things to do!

I feel like this sign sometimes. I think if there was a snapshot of my brain, it would look like this!So many options (and creations), so little time! I took this picture on the island of St. Barts this past spring and I love it. Wish I were there, again!

whistle while you work

Or something like that... These are photos of my "homegirl", Amanda Trueman's home where she has a "crafting" tent set up in her backyard and a work station at her dining room table. She is busy at work for the Country Living Fair to sell her wares at my tent. Amanda is always a shopping buddy and most of the time we are loading furniture into our trucks and looking like gypsies! She is super creative and a good friend, who continues to keep me inspired creatively. Her daughter Olivia, 7, (pictured) drew this poster of me (The Junk Lady, aka "Homegirl" to help me promote my tent at the fair! SO TRUE!!!

Homegirl goes to the Country Living Fair

Please come see Homegirl at the Country Living Fair in Columbus, Ohio held at the Ohio Fairgrounds historic village on Septmeber 18, 19 and 20. There are 300 vendors, great food and really neat workshops offered by the magazine's favorites. If you would like more information go to and type in the "Country Living Fair 2009" for more information on the event and to see a list of other vendors you may recognize. They come from all over the country and the offerings are sweet! Bloomsbury Loft (who joined me for my last sale) will also be a vendor you will want to see!!! I went last year as a buyer and enjoyed my day with my friend (and our warm blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream ;)! I'm looking most forward to that this year!
